BPC-157 is a synthetic pentadecapeptide with the sequence GEPPPGKPADDAGLV, derived from a partial sequence of a protein found in gastric juice. What mechanisms have been investigated?
Published preclinical work has examined BPC-157 in relation to angiogenic signalling, nitric oxide pathways and growth factor receptor expression in animal and cell models. These are investigational observations, not established mechanisms in humans.
